Experimental Image Making
Scanner as Camera (or Scanography) is a cameraless process of rendering 2D and 3D objects. A sensor moves line-by-line across an 8.5”x11.7 image plane to render a large format image. Each capture takes anywhere from 60 seconds to 20 minutes.
Objects are captured in tremendous detail, allowing for larger-than-life reproductions. This Dianthus is smaller than the palm of my hand.
